We are looking for an HR Director who will not only help us recruit talented insurance professionals, but who will also provide day-to-day strategy and consultation to our management team on HR related issues.

Consult with SSN management, providing HR guidance when appropriate.
Develop and support a strong talent management/employee engagement program
Analyze trends and metrics in partnership with EBSCO’s HR leadership to develop solutions, programs and policies for the SSN division
Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues. Conduct effective, thorough and objective investigations when necessary
Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partner with EBSCO’s legal department as needed/required.
Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to SSN management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
Provide HR policy guidance, interpretation and updating where necessary
Provide guidance and input on reorganizations, workforce planning and succession planning.
Identify training needs for all locations/branches
Participate in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success and ensure training objectives are met.
Implement developmental programs and training and partner to ensure continuing education requirements are met by all employees for licensing, etc.
Work with EBSCO’s corporate HR team on compliance issues and corporate internal communications
Develop and manage key employee processes and hold managers accountable for timely and successful implementation of same
Develop a paid internship program for the agency in order to develop a pool of future talent
Collaborate with marketing and corporate communications department on effective internal communications strategies and projects
Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Human Resources, Organizational Development or related discipline
Minimum of 5 years’ experience resolving complex employee relations issues in HR that includes working knowledge of multiple human resources disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, diversity, recruitment, performance management and federal and state employment laws
Master’s Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development or related discipline
Certification – either PHR/SPHR/SHRM-C or SHRM-SCP
Familiarity and ability to ramp up quickly on SuccessFactors modules
Strong writer and oral communicator
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
Understands complex problems and collaborates to explore alternatives
Organizes and prioritizes work to effectively manage multiple projects
