Holy Cross Hospital in Fort Lauderdale, Florida is a full-service, non-profit Catholic hospital, operating in the spirit of the Sisters of Mercy and a part of Trinity Health.
Performs a variety of technical procedures in Computerized Tomography and processes scans. Performs CT procedures accurately and proficiently with an understanding of protocols for each exam. Knowledge in the proper use of the PACS and RIS systems in accordance with set protocols and the manufacturer recommendations. Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of computer language and cross-sectional anatomy. Draws up requested medication/contrast media and accurately records the administered amount and time as per the physician's orders. Administers contrast media under the direction of a physician. Recognizes signs of contrast reaction and responds appropriately with appropriate action. Maintains orderliness and cleanliness of the CT Scan and all equipment. Assures that the area is appropriately stocked with adequate and appropriate supplies. Provides for the physical, medical, emotional and safety needs of the patient.Job Description Details:Job Requirements:Education
Experience & Skills
- Graduation from an approved school for Radiology.
- Two years experience as a CT Technologist is preferred. Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to effectively prioritize work and work under stressful situations.
- Must be proficient in starting IVs
- Knowledge in scanning CTA Brain, Perfusion, Neck, Heart and Run offs.
