Maintenance Planning Reports to: Sr. Manager Maintenance Planning
Must possess a full understanding of TRAX, Maintenance programs, time limitations philosophies, including Aircraft manufacturers programs, MMEL, and Company Policies and procedures.
High School graduate or equivalent. A & P license preferred. Data entry and PC knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, TRAX, and SABRE skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with all levels of Management and Operational Departments. Knowledge of computerized maintenance/inventory tracking processes and procedures. Background in Technical Operations, Maintenance Planning, TRAX, Finance +/or Supply Chain.
Previous airline/aviation experience and detail oriented.
The Maintenance Planner is responsible to liaise between Maintenance Planning, Maintenance Control, Purchasing, Stores, Engineering, Quality Control and Vendor(s) to take ownership and be accountable for all aspects of aircraft Maintenance Planning and Scheduling, (heavy/daily/long term) parts inventory accuracy, orchestrating cycle counts, TRAX computer Administration/changes/upgrades, TRAX conflict resolution and be able to facilitate corrective action to any TRAX issues within the Technical Operations Department in an expeditious manner. Establish and maintain the TRAX Computer System integration, upgrades, and daily operational TRAX issues. Rotable and Consumable asset management, administer inventory processes and procedures, and provide oversight control of all movement of inventory associated with the daily logistical flow of the daily maintenance operation. Ensure accurate Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) for all TRAX policies and procedures are current and up to date for the current revision.
Schedule long/short term planning, Heavy Maintenance Checks, Daily scheduling, MEL planning, aircraft routing, and communication with the OCC Department.
Monitor the fluctuating A/C total times and cycles for each fleet and make adjustments to the Heavy Check schedule. Constantly monitor the Maintenance Plan and take appropriate actions to adjust the plan as necessary.
Coordinate with vendors to make schedule adjustments for A/C going into and out of heavy check as the plans change. Manage pre- and post-dock meeting for aircraft coming into and out of Heavy Check. Manage other deferral programs (MCO, CDL and NEF) Coordinate with Supply Chain to ensure parts have been ordered and identify delivery date(s) prior to scheduling modifications and FCDs for completion. Notify Operational Department of the maintenance requirements. Initiate Short Term Escalation (STE) when necessary. Manages the Short Term Escalation Program Generate the Short Term Escalation Form, or causes the form to be generated, and distribute the form to the appropriate Silver Airways departments and the FAA. Record the Escalation information on the Short Term Escalation Log and oversee the data as per the MM-01
