This position is for approximately six months. As an import specialist, the main responsibility is to ensure that shipments adhere to customs regulations. Qualified candidate must have the ability to prioritize tasks, have good attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
Responsible for the preparation of all import clearance checklists for the Customs Brokers
Monitor import shipments for vendor invoicing/billing accuracy
Oversee activities with U.S. Customs Brokers and freight forwarders
Assist with the investigation and documentation of any export or import violation
Assist with miscellaneous projects and reporting requests as needed
- Experience in shipping
- General bookkeeping knowledge
- Proficiency in relevant computer applications
Hours: 8:00am 4:30pm, Monday-Friday
