The EBSCO Health Implementation Manager, Military and Government Specialist, will support EBSCO’s medical customers in the Military and Government sector. This includes the armed forces, veteran’s affairs, and related institutions such as medical schools. The Implementation Manager will work with Sales to prioritize customers for implementation; implementation includes ensuring functional access points to our point-of-care products, managing product integration with Electronic Medical Record systems, providing onsite promotion and training, and other account management activities. The Implementation Manager will work with the EBSCO Health Professional Services team to develop and maintain training, support, and customer success tools geared toward medical point-of-care (POC) customers. The Implementation Manager will serve as the "voice of the customer" providing input on medical products, interfaces, and tools.
Maintain strong relationships with EBSCO and industry contacts in order to identify appropriate offerings and support for medical customers. Provide input from the market for product development and marketing purposes Monitor usage, customer feedback, and escalate concerns to Sales as needed.
- Drive product usage and adoption by integrating products into the clinical workflow, assist with custom set-ups, facilitate training, and develop promotional materials. This includes:
- Connecting and fostering relationships with key decision makers at customer site
- Working with customer technical departments for EMR integration, including toolbar links and configuration of HL7 Infobutton access
- Setting up product access via intranets & enterprise applications, i.e. SharePoint
- Engaging with users onsite through presentations at staff meetings, conducting in-service sessions throughout hospital, hosting lunch and learn session, etc.
- Communicating with IT teams & technical personnel at sites for ongoing questions/troubleshooting
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in healthcare field
Experience with and understanding of the workflow of healthcare in clinic and hospital environments
Ability to travel 50-75% of time.
Service in the United States Military or Veteran’s Affairs system in healthcare role
Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
Experience presenting to small and large groups
Experience managing projects
