Circuit Works Corporation was Founded in1989 and is a family owned, privately held company. We are an Electronic Manufacturing Company that offers our clients flexibility of a small firm with the latest technology and stability that our industry offers. We are looking for a Director of Engineering to join our team. We have two facilities, one of which is located in Waukegan, IL and one that is located in Agua Prieta, Mexico, which is just across the border of Douglas, AZ. This individual will be in charge of all aspects of our engineering departments for both facilities and may reside in either location.
This role will lead the entire engineering team using strong interaction, interpersonal, mentoring and negotiating skills, and will be responsible for managing project risks/issues, maintain and procure all SMT equipment as well as managing the programming of machines. These machines consist of screen printers, SMT placement equipment, reflow ovens, waver soldering, AOI, X-Ray, and auto insertion. In addition, the Director of Engineering will be responsible for adhering to, supporting and enhancing Circuit Works Corporations process methodologies and efficiencies while developing and managing commitments to our customers as well as meeting project financial and schedule deliverables and quality requirements.
The Director of Engineering has direct responsibility for interfacing with Customers throughout the product development process to ensure customer satisfaction. They also have direct responsibility for managing and guiding technicians, engineers, and documentation associates.
Required Qualifications for the position include:
• BS Engineering
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in electronic manufacturing
• Minimum of three (3) years of engineering management experience.
• Minimum of three (3) years knowledge of electronic and mechanical assembly skills and recognized industry standards.
•Ability to facilitate, manage and drive team efforts to resolution.
Desired Qualifications (Things that will put you ahead)
•Three+ (3+) years of experience in contract manufacturing of circuit board assemblies (PCBAs).
